  • 3ds max - Vray - VrayPhysicalCamera - Clipping & Enviroment - Far clipping plane:

    Hi!
I don't remember, its a some issue ou not.
But I think will be more functionality and more useful for all, if "Far clipping plane:"(VrayPhysicalCamera) will work like in old version ou like "Physical Camera".

    Problem:
    - When I need to approximate to some Camera in scene, I press "Z"(in 3ds Max) and that is all. And it works nice and fast.
But when i turn it on "Clipping" in Camera, and after, I need approximate to my camera and I press "Z"(in 3ds Max) its working really bad.
Because the view aligns with "Far clipping plane:" and "Near clipping plane:".
And sometimes these are very large distances, especially in the exterior.
And you have to turn the rest of the distance with the wheel every time.

    Thanks
    Yurii

I do not understand the issue. Could you attach some visual examples? A comparison between 3ds / V-Ray cameras and which behavior you are preferring? Also, I don't think the default "Z" shortcut (zoom extends selected) does anything while in a camera.

I see. I've logged the issue (internal bug-tracker id: VMAX-13194) for developer investigation.
