  • FrameBuffer background Layer wrong gamma.

Good Morning. i have a problem. I would like to put one image on TOP of my render with the background layer ( foreground option) in the FB.

    1) of course i need to use an image with alpha channel so i tried PNG and TIFF

    2) PNG doesnt't work well with trasparency

    3) tiff works well but i see an image with wrong gamma ( whitish).

I use standard vray setup with "color mapping only" option in color mapping.

To make .png work as expected, check this thread. Otherwise, if you wish to use the .tif, you can manually apply a gamma curve to the Background layer through a Filmic Tonemap, the type of which is set to Linear (make sure the layer affects only the Background).
