  • vray convert physical materials

hello. when i use v-ray converter to convert physical materials to v-ray materials, the vray material's reflection value is always pure white and a roughness of 0. is there a way to convert so that the reflection value is pure black instead?

one reason is, it messes with my 3ds max viewport and makes the materials look very washed out hard to see.

    thanks!

The code for the conversion is taking into account the incoming material properties, so those options are on your Physical Materials.
You can use Zorb's Modifier Modifier script to mass-change either the physmats or the vray materials to suit you.
Go to the material tab, doubleclick the material class (f.e. vraymtl), the script collects and displays the material properties, and any change you make to the UI that pops up is applied to the whole class of shader.
