Can you try to convert the parts to editable poly? I had some problems in the past, where assigning the VrayDisplaceMod caused flipped normals, sometimes even in the viewport. Those parts were imported geometry from CAD as well.

Yes, everything is an editable poly.

So obviously that geo is not liked, for whatever specific reason.
Subdividing then heavily optimising the mesh will fix it, so that's one quick solution.
        I'd go with that

I tried subdividing, but that breaks something too.

Oh ok...it's hard to know exactly with that scene part, as all the textures are missing, so I tested with a basic shader plus random displacement map and it seemed to be fine.
            What breaks?

Support came back and said it was terrible geometry on the walls. This makes sense because three of the houses I did were SU imports. However, today, I have one that I modeled from scratch and am getting the same error. The problem is, when I get this error, my render slave will not contribute to the render.

New project same error. I am not doing anything different than I have for decades, so something on the software side has had to have changed.

Is it an imported CAD model again?

No, this one I modeled in MAX.

Do send it so we can troubleshoot. Maybe there's a common link between them.
