  • Loading VFB preset forces hardware acceleration

    Hi,

I've noticed that when I load a Vray memory frame buffer layers preset it causes the engine to calculate denoiser and lens effects using hardware acceleration even though it's turned off in the preset (for both layers, denoiser and lens effects) and in the render setup.
While using a weak graphics card it's not so bothering on a daily basis but when you load a huge render from history it can cause the PC to freeze (or almost freeze, you can move the mouse cursor and click things from time to time) because of the GPU overload and closing the frame buffer doesn't help.
I can see in the log that vray used the hardware accelerated denoising instead of CPU.

    Best regards,
    Przemek

From what I tested, the preset loads as expected with "Hardware acceleration" turned off. However, if you are loading the preset in a fresh scene, where VRayDenoiser is not yet created - adding it manually will obviously default to hardware acceleration on. What are your exact steps for reproducing the issue?
