In MAX 2024, my custom toolbar placement wasn't remembered; it docks to the top every time. The same thing is happening in MAX 2025. Does Anybody else have this madness?

Not really. All is fine here with Max 2023. Problems with remembering interface configurations can happen if you have multiple instances of Max open while trying to make changes to the UI. Before you start making any changes, make sure you close all other instances of 3ds Max, including V-Ray Spawner. Once you have only one instance of Max running (check the running processes in Task Manager), you can start customizing the interface. After you're done, restart Max and see if it worked. I hope this helps!Aleksandar Mitov

Nope, I never have more than one MAX session running. I don't think I installed MAX 2025 (right mouse run as admin), but I am still a local admin with full rights.Bobby Parker

Not sure if you already have it set up as this but I never had any problems with UI anymore after setting it up like this: Create a workspace and tie that to the default template you load.
