I doubt there's a need for that. I guess there are some default settings saved in that scene that get loaded every time.

Autodesk back in 2014 removed Input/Output gamma from the interface and I remember my students keep getting the exact issue .
If you are opening an old scenes that issue will carry on to your other scenes if you didn't take care of it and change it .
In Maxscript use the following so you don't need to adjust the gamma manually every time :

Fileoutgamma=2.2

I haven't tried it yet with the new color management in Max 2024, but I think it should work fine .
