    Hmm...odd that. It works with standard lights of course.
    Interestingly it will also work if you use an OSL noise, so maybe it's just an oversight but anyway, that's a workaround I guess

      Try switching the Noise tex's mapping to "Explicit Map Channel".

          While the 2d UV approach of using the explicit map channel works. It could sometimes be useful to have the light pick up its noise from world space (or object space for a mesh light). I thought that used to work in older VRay versions, or am I misremembering?

            Object-space is already working for VRayMeshLights.

            Tested V-Ray 5 and there's no difference in the behavior.
