VRay not loaded in 3dsMAX 2025

I recently updated to VRay 6.2 and it was not startet unter MAX2025. No VRay toolbar, no entry in the Render Setup window. So I deinstalled VRay5, installed the recent Licence manager, played with borrowed (which I prefer) or online licensing. Nothing helps. The instalation of VRay was normal. Then I updated MAX to 2025.2. With no success. Should I install VRay6.2 once more. Where is the missing link? As I remember earlier there was a question for which version of MAX Vray should be installed. But there was no question like this here. I wanted to remain MAX 2021 some time for custumizing MAX 2025 as there is no tool for transfer the custumisations to the new version like in AutoCAD. Shall I deinstall MAX 2021 also? What can I do to get VRay to work?

No you shouldn't need to uninstall 3ds Max 2021. Try to uninstall V-Ray once again and delete all leftover files. More info on that here.

Did you upgraded from V-Ray 5 to 6 or just form and earlier version of V-Ray 6 to the latest?

Thank you for your answer. I used the download I became after purchasing VRay 6. The file was vraystd_adv_62006_x64_vc14.exe. The new file I downloaded according your link is vray_adv_62006_max2025_x64.exe. So I will give it a try this evening.
In MAX 2021 I worked with VRay 5. With the upgrade to MAX 2025 I also upgraded to VRay 6. This means I did not install VRay 5 with MAX 2025 before.

Hello Vladimir, with the linked installation file you provided for me it works. Thank you very much. But I´m sad that VRay now also uses these "design" buttons which neigher looks god nor they are good readable. Is there a way to revert the toolbar buttons to VRay 5 design? Since MAX 2017 I change the look of the toolbar buttons to version MAX 2016. I hope it works in MAX 2025 too.

Hi I am happy it worked. It is strange that you got sent a V-Ray Standalone build instead of a regular one that has UI.
As for the buttons I am not sure really. You most probably could revert them to the older design but it won't be that straight forward.
