Vray 6 latest - max 2024 ACES issues over network

Hi there,

I am working on a project that uses the ACES workflow. I was initially using the 3dsmax config for ACES but the network machines couldn't see the OCIO config file so I switched custom to point to the OCIO file available over the network. The problem is that for some reason the network machines render a more red version of the frame whereas my main workstation is rendering a slightly more yellow frame. I don't understand why this is happening. Can anyone enlighten me? All machines, including my workstation can see the same config file.

I have now switched 3dsmax color management back to gamma workflow and only using the VFB for the OCIO config. Hopefully this test will work.

I suppose you're using the new 3ds Max color management. In that case, it's a limitation (although Autodesk hasn't generalized it as a network rendering limitation, the fact that it doesn't work with Backburner is clear enough). Check this thread. Using the V-Ray color management should work as expected.
