Right - got it sorted !

Simply use the Delete Job button to remove the assigned job in the Monitor. This leaves the Second Pass job which kicks in when the other is removed.

...and make sure you check 'don't render final image' after the first calc.
Can you just tell me 1 more thing about that.

Do you touch the min/max passes in the IR map, or you just increase the res.size ?

            do you do it like:
            1st calc -5/-2
            2nd calc -4/-1
            3rd calc -3/0

or they all are the same ?

                Ok, another problem !

I have been using Render Strips with BB sucessfully for a week of so now but, have been presented with

                'Error Loading Strip'

Why is this? Has anyone encountered this before ?

                Thanks

Occasionally I've found Backburner gets confused. Sometimes it will render a couple strips with a slightly different filename. When that happens just find the offending strips and rename. This has only happened to me twice in 8 months.

I can't see any problems in the names.

Might have something to do with the UNC addresses which I have been centralising over the last few days.

                      Hi Clifton

Have you had any problems when cancelling a render before it was finished and then later trying to piece it together later with BB ?

Only if you've deleted the splicing pass. Otherwise, if you make it look like there are enough strips, it should kick in. If not, suspend the splicing pass, copy a few strips so there are enough, rename them, and then activate the splicing pass again. It should see them and stitch them together.

When you say the 'Splicing Pass' do you mean the Second Pass that stitches the strips together ?

So, what do I do if I delete the Second Pass and have not spliced the slices together ?

Maybe you could send the same job again, at the same resolution, and same amount of strips, but delete the first part. The second part would see all the strips with the correct name, and splice them together.
