  • Opacity Mapping Artifacts

    Hello,
I have a low-poly scene using opacity mapped planes to create “fog”. The background is a “skydome”. The edges of the planes are rendering as white dotted lines – I don’t know why this is happening or how to fix it – Can anyone offer some help?

    Thanks for your consideration

Are these UVW-mapped on? Try oversizing your UVW gizmo a bit. I've had artifacts like this before and resolved them that way.

      That was it exactly!

I un-wrapped and uniformly scaled the UV’s down slightly – problem solved. I love learning something new, this is one that I will remember. Thanks a bunch!

the other fix for this is to turn the blur down to .001 in the opacity map
