  • Invalid Surface Normal

I am doing an animation using Oynx and am getting the following warning when I render:

warning: Invalid surface normal (0,0,0) for " tree name " using geometric normal

This doesn't seem to be affecting the quality or the rendering that I can tell. I am using simbiont textures on the trunk and a bitmap on the leaves with alpha channel for transparency. Does anybody know what error message could be refering to ?

    Thanks as always.

I really don't know much about Onyx, but XFrog generates the same error. One of the fixes is to import as a .3ds or convert to a .3ds and re-import. Hope this helps.
