  • task timeout

    hi again,

    its the second time i post this here, but its still a big problem, and we haven't any solutions for this yet.
    we are rendering a lot of big projects over network in stripes, we've set the timeout in backburner / max to 6000 min., but every time he cancelled the render after 600 min. because of timeout. he totally ignores the 6000 min.

    any ideas?

    best greetings

    go to your manager machine and open backburner.xml in autodesk/backburner/network
    in there find a line that says
    <TimerCfg>
    <AckTimeout>600</AckTimeout>
    and change it to whatever time you would like. Some times this helps.

        hmmm, I also have this problem but the XML doc on both my manager and my slaves is set much higher than 600 minutes.

          had the problem once, damn how anger i was that day, stupid backburner, I set the timeout higher and it worked though, maybe 6000 is absurd for it, maybe try 2000, dunno... as it worked for me, good luck

            Are those value in milliseconds?
            At least I think the <TimeBetweenRetries>30000<TimeBetweenRetries> is
            If you look at the settting the the manager set to 30 seconds then look at the XML it says 30000
