  • VRay 1.47.03 backburner shared plugin rendernode setup

    Hi,

with VRay 1.09 all rendernodes loaded their VRay and other plugins from a shared directory on a windows2000 server, by modifying the plugin.ini files on each rendernode, so they where pointing to vray60.dll and vrender60.dlr on the shared directory
This setup worked fine for aprox. 2 years

After I installed VRay 1.47.03, this shared-vray-setup doesn't work anymore...I get an error message saying "missing dll: vrayrender60.dlr"
although the plugin.ini is pointing to this file on the shared directory.
(and yes, the file is there..and it is the right version.)

Does someone know if there should be additional vray-files in this shared directory ?
Or is this shared VRay-plugin setup not possible anymore ?

    thank you,
    Marco

do you have both paths set up correctly (FIRST to the plugin dir, THEN to the vrayplugins subdir)

If not then all the plugins in the vrayplugins folder will complain that vrender is missing because it wasnt loaded before

        Hello,

Try to put the [Directories] section after the [Help] section.
I had the same problem and this worked for me.

          problem solved !!!

the file cgauth60.dll was not on the shared directory on the server....
its a Chaos Group authorization file which is why the rendernodes didn't run vray....

since this file was not included in vray 1.09.... and is located in the max root dir I didn't notice it until I by coincidence ran into it.

          thank you,
