What is the best way to get rid of flickering on a glossy object in an animation? Is the secret in the material, in the LC/IRMAP calculations, or in the QMC settings? I have a gold material that has a lot of flickering going on!

can you show your material setup and scene settings? it might make it easier to solve

Going up to 16 subdivisions made little difference in the noise....but made render times longer. Anything else I can do? Now that 1.5 can do IRMAP calculation with animations in DR, is it still recommended to use just one machine for the calcultion? I seem to have alot of over-all graininess compared to other animations I have seen. What should I change to take care of that?

oops your right Im not used to the new version rollout, having not started using 1.5 yet. Anyone know if .85, .005 is acceptable qmc settings to be used with adaptive qmc? I remember reading that it doesn't have to be .001 anymore. Try a test with global subdivisions higher? say 5.0 or something?
