  • Render to Texture: Crashes, unabilities

    Hi to all!

after long time we are again on the RT Games. I have got models with Displacement Textures from ZBrush, and vray renderings looks great.

As soon as I use RTT and try to project displaced model to Low poly model i get:

    A) - using NormalMap output, it crashes prompt with:
    [2007/Feb/26|01:15:41] Rendering frame region (0,0)-(512,512).
[2007/Feb/26|01:15:41] Photon size is 56 bytes.
[2007/Feb/26|01:15:41] Light cache sample size is 112 bytes.
    [2007/Feb/26|01:15:41] Rendering image.
    [2007/Feb/26|01:15:41] Setting up 2 thread(s)
[2007/Feb/26|01:15:41] error: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: Rendering region (0,0)-(64,64)
Last marker is at .\src\vray.cpp, line 2394: GlobalIllumLightDesc::Illuminate()

    B) when i don't use NormalMap to output, just color, i get nothing.

    C) anything i try to do with RTT, produces nothing or crash.

    Did I missunderstood the concept?

V-Ray does not support the NormalMap baking element at this time unfortunately. However, I *think* you should be able to export a normal map straight from z-brush.

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
