  • Vray Render Elements & Render Pass Manager (RPM)

Is anyone here using RPM in their workflow?

I can't get RPM to save out vray elements when using the vray vfb, but it works fine with the max vfb.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,
    Olly

Yes, we have the same issue with our in-house render manager

I think you might need to speak with grant about that.

No, it is V-Ray. When the V-Ray framebuffer is enabled it does not save extra channels through backburner. I thinks someone else was having an issue when the elements were being explicitly named in the elements rollout.

oops my bad, misunderstood what you said. I haven't sadly been able to use rp manager since moving to new employer.

So is there a way around this?

I want to avoid creating & rendering an additional set of passes to save out the element data, especially when it's already been calculated on the beauty pass. Seems to be a bit of a step back to me...

            Any thoughts?

            Cheers,

Just do not enable the vray frame buffer and it will work

In the element settings or the vray vfb rollout?

I'm not sure exactly how it is set up in RPM but the vray vfb needs to be disabled and the elements just used normally.
