  • strange camera issue ?

    Hello friends !

I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but this is my viewport:

there is clearly to see a red box, and that the plane is not flat, it's a wave form now, so it will fit to the building.

And here is the small render preview:

well, where is the red box ?
Why is the plane, just flat and not like it is in my viewport ?

    what's going on here ?
I must do something wrong, but never had this issue before !!!

I use Vray Sun & Sky, with vray cam....

    thx for every little help,
    bernhard

Do you have a vrayplane in the scene?

      no

I do have a standard plane, and on top an edit poly modifier, plus turbosmooth...

I need to use and editable poly, because I need geometry to model.
So I get the right surface....

      thx,

Ofcurse, an editable poly should work perfectly fine.

The render looks like it has a big plane crossing at ground level thus the vrayplane question.

Some more sugestions: do you have turbosmoth with 0 iterations for render and the edit poly on top of it? Have you tried to do some isolate renders to find if there is any problematic object? Can be a displacement problem ? (Sometimes I forget the default max displacement cheked and get weird geometry...)

I seem to remember a bug that a hidden vray plane didn't actually hide but it's been a while since I've seen that happen and I know it doesn't do this in the latest vray version.
          www.dpict3d.com - "That's a very nice rendering, Dave. I think you've improved a great deal." - HAL9000... At least I have one fan.

            hmmmm

well, i's not a vray plane...

i could find out, that that the turbosmooth modifier caused this problem.
I've checked it with a new camera, same problem.

for the rendering, I use iterations 2, like in the viewport.
I could fix it, in collapsing all together...

            hmmm, but weired...
            thx,
