  • Remote Dongle

    Hi,

When I connect remotely to check my image I cancel, tweak, and hit render again. When I do this remotely the Dongle isn't located. The dongle is on the machine I am connecting to via the web. What would cause this? I can go to the physical machine and hit render and it works just fine.

Frustrated and will miss my deadline tomorrow

This is a longshot, but it might work. It could be an IP conflict.

I assume you mean that you connect to your work PC through VPN?
Do you use the standard Windows connection or a special program?
In the first case you could check if you have the following option checked or not.

Like I said, I don't know if it'll work, but you never know...

          Remote

I use logmein, which is a web based product that gets me in via the web. I am running xp 64 with a cisco router and cisco doesn't support VPN for 64. Anyway, I figure it out. It seems when I have the hardware lock in my monitors USB port it doesn't work remotely. When I have it plugged into my machine it is fine. Very strange.

Have you tried HAMACHI from the people who make LogMeIn? Its a very nice easy to setup VPN
