Things are not going too well! Are there some special new settings to adjust?? Things went fine with low res trials. But, the hi res version rendered as follows:

It is hard to say without knowing more details about your scene (e.g. what are the materials and the lights, the GI settings etc).

Here are the settings which are no different from the settings that I always used:

All was fine at low res. I tried rendering the same file with backburner. All the strips rendered on the slaves rendered fine, but the strips rendered on the host computer all came out white???? I do not get it.

send me a file if you want, and I can have a look.
I am using max 9 64bit and sp1 and have had no problems.

Thanks! The file is quite big right now 50 MB. I'm doing some more testing to see what could be the problem and if the same thing happens if I delete all the people, trees, etc. It definitely cannot be a problem with bitmaps and paths, otherwise the same thing would happen at low res. Though, there is something I have always wondered about......If from the beginning when you create the material all the bitmap paths are mapped in a way that all the render nodes find the bitmaps, what is the use for the "customize bitmap paths" under the customize menu?

Well, I deinstalled all the old copies of backburner and vray for max7 from my computers. Now there seem to be only (2) render nodes that give me problems......and I do not get it. Using my computer and the (2) problem render nodes I get this result:

If I render the same file directly from those (2) render nodes, the scene renders fine. The materials are rendering....it just seems to be the HDRI environment map that is not showing up.

What happens if you turn on the "Check for missing files" option in the System rollout of V-Ray?

              Best regards,

With "check for missing maps" it says "missing maps found, aborting render" for those two render slaves. For some reason those two are not finding the HDRI map. I do not understand why, though. I did not change anything.....I only installed max 9. All the paths are exactly the same.

The problem has something to do with the DR. I just rendered on these two render slaves with backburner and all rendered fine.

If it was network related then it should not work either with backburner. It is only with DR in vray 1.5 sp1 with max 9 that it does not work. As of two days ago when I was using max 7 all was fine. The network is working fine.

                        what s ur server OS?
there are several of threads wich claim the same problems and in the end most of them are network related...either way i got it working here flawlessly, as many others do, that should be a heads up by itself,....me thinks

The server is Windows Server 2003 and the computers are running on Windows XP 64. I don't get it.......the two slaves that are giving me problems are configured just as all the others.
