  • Remote Dongle connection

Is it possible to borrow a remote Vray license via a dongle? I have 3 dongles here and a fellow team member wold like to use one while he is offsite? Is there a way I can forward a port or something and have him enter my IP address and port setting through his Vray server?

Using Max 2008/32bit on Windows XP SP2

    thanks in advance

You can do that; the port used by the license server is 30304.

If I can access the license current status by http://mydomain.com:30304:getstatus
How should I write that adress in the "Change V-ray client license settings" on my workstation?
I tried http://mydomain.com:30304 but it didn't work so I guess I need to change someting. What?

I believe you need the underlying IP address, rather than using the URL. So in Vray you'll enter, for example: 111.101.202.185
You have to find out what your 12 digit IP address actually is.
