      stars would be nice, but I think the illumination is indeed more important.

        The nightsky paper by Jensen uses a BRDF approximation as well as albedo and spectral maps to model the moon. Illumination is a rather tough call as this wont work purely through a map i guess as things like blueshift and alike are taken care of by a special modified Ward tonemapping if i recall right.

          I think this is something we all will need at some point, I love doing dusk shots but there is a point where the sky starts to look a little apocalyptical and scary when the sun gets below the horizon.
