  • wrong exposure of HDRI in enviroment map

    hello everyone ,

im trying to render a scene using hdri, i put a vray dome light & in use texture i set my hdri in the dome light which i instance it to the enviroment map,

so when i render with dome light visible i get a different exposure of the hdri then when i set it to invisible , the environment map is darker as like a different exposure & im not changing anything else

im i missing something ? this inst suppose to happen

1st image reflection & backround are the same

2nd image backround changes exposure while the reflection stays the same

all i have done is change vraydome light from visible to invisible.

Are you using color mapping or exposure? If so, is "effect background" checked in the color mapping settings?

Hmm, yes i see, I was able to reproduce that here. In the past the dome light would ignore it's own multiplier when using a map but now it seems to be active. if you turn the light multiplier to 1.0 you will get the same result with either background.

thx RErender its working now .

i dont understand why its diffrent in this version . its easier to controle the exposure from the HDRI map only
