  • Glass bending or distorting stuff behind too much!

    Hi all

In the attached pics you can see in the render that the glass is bending or distorting the stuff behind it too much. Look at my poor biped being stretched.

    vieport is fine
    the render
glass settings converted from standard material

I tried changing the IOR under refraction, but lowering the setting makes it worse, and increasing the setting makes it worse in opposite direction.
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

Does your windows have thickness? If not, try to add shell modifier
    to give it some.

If you windows does not have thickness, it will be rendered as big glass block.

does the glass have thickness, or is it just a one sided object?

Also, remember to take the reflection all the way down to white and check "Fresnel". That way, the amount of reflection will vary based on the IOR and viewing angle, just like it should.

A glossiness value of 0.18 is way too low for glass. If you want glossy, then you probably shouldn't go lower than 0.9.
