  • Flickering question

    Hi all,

I am rendering an animation where only the camera is moving, its rendering using a pre calculated irr map and light cache files and its working pretty good. now a couple of materials are flickering and I think that is because I forgot to check off the interpolation on the material itself, my question is if I can pause the animation and fix the material and continue to render the rest of the animation without re calculating the irr and light cache solutions. Will this work?

    Thanks

You can use the light cache for certain, but the irradiance map might cause issues. It might help in that case, if you set the "Treat GI rays as glossy rays" option for those materials to "Always" so that they use the light cache instead of the irradiance map in the reflections.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
