  • error: Could not save irradiance map+backburner

    Hi all,
I have a problem when calculating my Irradiance map through backburner.
I use multi incremental mode with auto-save and i got frames that contain errors very often.
an idea to solve this problem?

Save imaps per nth then merge them together, it is pretty much fail proof.

      zedish23,

You can't send an irradiance map calculation to multiple nodes through backburner. The only way to take advantage of multiple nodes is to send frames 0-200 to node01, frames 201-400 to node02 etc. Then do as RErender says, merge the files at the end.

        I do not understand
“Merge the files at the end” means using add to current map mode ?

You should have the Irradiance map viewer installed, go to Chaos Group in your start menu and look under Tools. You can merge them in that.

Normally they would overwrite each other, without something like my script.
