  • Problem with Sp3 on one machine

    Hi

When starting up Max (2009) after I installed VRay Sp3 I get error codes for all the VRay plugins.

Some have the code - 1073741795 (null)
    and others
    error code 126

    I am running XP 32-bit with SP3

    Hope to solve this soon.

    Thanks

      Hi

I have been working some late nights lately so the brain is fried

What exactly do i need to do with the plug.ini file?

      Thanks

Here SP3 is working fine, but I can hardly remember that sometimes in the past there were some problems during the installation process and the plugin.ini file became a mess; so, simply double check that the LAST line is correctly pointing to VRay additional plugin directory.

Thanks so much for the quick replies!

Sadly the problem is still here. I checked the plugin.ini file. All looked well. I even tried it with coping the plugin.ini file from the machine where it is working.

          Did not helped either

There is another plugin.ini file in the local settings folder of the current user; check that one as well.

            Best regards,
            Vlado

              Hi Vlado

This second plugin.ini file, must that also contain lines related to VRay?

Not one of the two machines has info on VRay in this plugin.ini file, although on the one machine the installation works.

Yes, that plugin.ini file must also contain the V-Ray lines.

                Best regards,
                Vlado

Yep, not a good idea to change builds in the middle of a project.

                    Best regards,

                        Hi,
I've the same problem here with 2 machines. Both plugin.ini (in Max 9 & Local settings) end with V-Ray lines.
                        Any Clues?

                        Thanks

The lines must be in the correct order (the one about additional V-Ray plugins should be the last one).

                          Best regards,
                          Vlado

                            Here is my plugin.ini:

                            [Help]

                            ;=;
                            Digimation Plugins=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 9\plugins\Digimation
                            V-Ray main plug-ins=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 9\plugins
                            V-Ray additional plug-ins=C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 9\plugins\vrayplugins

And the problem is still here.

Try removing the ;=; line and see if it works.

                              Best regards,
