  • vraylightmtl direct illumination problem

as the thread say, im using vraylightmtl with direct illumination ticked, on several light post elements ,

the light cache calculatiuon looks good .

but when it tries to do the irradiance map i gets it wrong .

all the light post are switch to dont cast indirect illumination in the vrayoption rollout .

this is the light cache everything looks good here

Do you have the "Show direct light" option on for the Irradiance map? It may be only a preview thing.

    Best regards,

i forgot to mention that the final render looks like the irradiance map,

do i need to use higher sample in the irradiance map ? its on deafult settings medium now .
coz the direct lighting pass looks good , but the global illumination pass is slpochy.

No idea right now what may be causing this, but if you can get us a small part of the scene to vray@chaosgroup.com we'll take a look.

        Best regards,

it seems i had an object that didnt had any materials assigned to it that is causing this problem :S .

even thought the scene was rendering fine with other lights, the problem became clear when used vraylightmtl.

this post should be deleted :s
