  • Vray DR Problem Windows 7 64bit+winxp 64bit

    Hello,

Just updated my hardware and software--i7 workstation with 12 GB DDR3 Ram on Windows 7 prof 64 bit. (all max 2009 64bit +Vray 1.5 SP3a)
    Slave Quad Q6600 + 4 GB Ram/ windows xp 64bit

It seems that DR does not work.....I connected the network drive (Z /all max stuff) as usually from the slave---all windows firewalls off...i have network access on folders between the two computers.
Vray installtion quite normal.....when it comes to DR: Spawner starts normal.

I get no failure notices in the Vray Log (Box)---just scene transfered to XXX.XXX.X.X (IP) and starting in brown color.....then i can see in the task manager that CPU usage etc is raising to 25% for some seconds---the 0% and nothing...
no failure notice like render host failed etc.....
just the workstation renders with 8 buckets---no slave

ok there comes now also the failure notice that the render host is unkown is not responding....

with win xp 32bit and winxp64bit (slave) everything worked fine- just for info

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!-never change a running system---i changed...lol

Well. Try to update your drivers. We have integrated marvell yukon controller, and somehow eyeon fusion slaves just got stuck at some point. We updated win 7 drivers and everything went smooth, but I never had this for vray.

BTW - we're using win7 RC (me using server version, the workstation with fusion using plain win7). Still not sure if I'm interested in server stuff or maybe win7 enterprise....
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?
