  • FumeFX 2.0 & VRay 1.5 SP2 > rendering

FumeFX 2.0 and VRay 1.5 SP2 are rendering buckets screw ups (see attachment center and upper left corner)! Last time i saw that was with GI set to Bucket mode when multi core machines came up

Any idea what could cause such a trouble? I rendered Fume in VRay many times before. What happens usually is that the smoke looses all shading/shadows when rendered in VRay and you have to switch the renderer and back to vray to fix it but this is new...

The light is a Spot light with VRay shadows with 8 samples, Athmospheric Shadows is checked in the Shadow Parameters. Render settings are attached. No GI. Settings are pretty much default!
Machine is dual quad xeon5500 with 24 gig ram, windows 7-64 ultimate, max2010-64 SP2.

    Advice please!

Does it work correctly if you place an object behind the fire?

      Best regards,

i switched the renderer and then back to vray and it worked. teh vray > Fume/AfterBurn connection seams to be patchy sometimes. I had it happen more then once in the past where i lost my shading on afterburn and fume scenes and i had to switch the renderer and back to fix it.
