  • strange problem with materials

hello i've got some problem from time to time with the materials - basically they change colour - for example they turn red or cyan, etc. See the file - it should be a white flower material just like the other one - but as You can see the final result is a bit strange. I DO NOT do anything with it - it just sometimes happens suddenly and unexpectedly - i mean that at first the material is correct and after some work with the file - it changes colour...

    What is the problem?

any ideas? I must add that I use color correct and autogamma plugins. - Maybe this has sth to do with my problem?

Are all bitmaps used in RGB format? I've seen something similar to this after accidently loading CMYK bitmaps.

Is this just in the material editor or when rendered? We used to have something like this using Maxtreme drivers with our FireGL v7350 cards in Max 2009 x64

            Thanks for the reply.

All the bitmaps are in RGB, I will check if it has to do anything with png.

It's not only in me but also when rendered. I have a standard nvidia 8800gs with standard drivers.

I suppose it HAS to do sth with colour correct and autogamma plugins bacause I use them only when doing exteriors. In interior scenes I do not hava such a problem.

I've seen this when I have the slightest amount of refraction and I adjust the fog color at all, even accidentally.
