I'm never sure where to post things like this. Its not a VRay problem, but a user problem. Anyway...

I'm creating a scene with a lot of trees and foliage. The trees are generated with Onyx and textured with VRay2SidedMtl. On these two trees (the multistem and the main tree), the leaves seem to Click image for larger version

The back side material is the same as the front, but with a slightly brighter diffuse texture and no reflection.

    Dumb question-
Does the opacity map fit the leaf?
It looks like a problem with the mapping of the material

You have to change the Filtering in the materials bitmap section to `None´....BOTH for diffuse and for the opacity alpha. This should solve the problem.

Take a look at the attached image

      Havent found another workaround yet.

        Yep. Should be just fine.
Out of interest, with VRay2SidedMtl, is the mapping on the backside of the geometry the same as on the front, or is it mirrored? I'm hoping it is the same...

Thanks Bjorn. TBH, both examples you give show a horrible outlining effect. Could this be that your alpha is antialiased around the edge? With my textures, I am making sure that the edges of the mask are aliased, i.e. no grey, just pure black and white.

The example maps i used where not of the best quality. but as you see in the screenshot the outline is a lot smaller in case of setting both filterings to NONE.
