  • vrscene export

    Hello all,
So I am aware that when exporting a vrscene from max, all the geometry must be selected as well as making sure they are at the subD level that you wish to render at. and have the camera selected and be looking through it in the viewport
    then Export

Everything seemed to export fine, or so I thought.
When we ran the render through, first issue was, a piece of geometry seemed to not move with the main object (a wing) and then the entire surface of the object looks as if it has a very intensive BUMP on it. The windows no longer look transparent, and
As well as the Camera being in the right spot, kinda looks like its shifted a frame to the left but the remaining animation on it is ok.
Is there an issue exporting vrscene files from max with objects that have MANY parts? Parenting? motion modifiers?
Is there any documented process on exporting VRSCENE files?
Any way to diagnose these issues?
Is there a need to convert surface parameters to a Vray friendly format ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would attach a photo but under NDA I dont think I can,
Vlado if your interested I might be able to get you a photo for comparison.
    Thanks

You don't need to have the geometry selected; the export script processes all visible geometry in the scene, you are correct about the other things.

The MaxScript for exporting to a .vrscene file is included in the installation so you can view its source, study it and modify it if you need to.

For your specific case, I'm not sure where the problems are coming from - I would need a scene to check out (it doesn't have to be the same scene, just one enough to demonstrate the problems).

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
