  • Certain frames are flickering.

Ive had 2 projects now where Ive output using backburner and certain frames flicker. The frames are normally 4 frames (ish) apart from each other which would normally leave me to believe that 1 of my render nodes is playing up but this actually isnt the case...random machines seem to produce the flicker.

I have uploaded a video of what is happening to vimeo:

Im using Irr/BF by the way.

Also, when I re-render these frames using DR instead of backburner they all come out fine which means that the render nodes must be able to see all the texturemaps/hdris etc. So why the flickering ?

Are the maps stored on a network path or copied locally to each render slave?

    Best regards,

Stored on a network path. But ive always done that and the flickering has only started recently. Not sure what has changed...ive got a new network switch recently which doesnt seem as fast but im not sure that would cause the problem
