  • problem with gradients when using LWF

this is vray light with gradient texture rednered with "don;t affect colors (adaptation only) also look the same when I set gamma to 1.

but scene is too dark so I prefer to use LWF
    so with gamma 2.2
    light looks like this:

and when I bump up light intensity:

Is there anyway to work around this to achieve first gradient with LWF?

This is more or less what I was asking yesterday. Vlado suggested to try ticking the "componsate camera exposure" in the VRayLightMtl. I havent gotten around to testing that yet, but maybe instead of a VRayLight you can use a plane with VRayLightMtl assigned to it?
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

You will need to adjust the gamma of the gradient texture - pipe it through a Color correction texture with gamma 0.4545 or 2.2 (can't remember which one right now).

        Best regards,
        Vlado
