This side I'm more than a bit frustrated:
My workflow (using 2010 releases) is modelling in Revit, exporting to dwg and file linking to Maxdesign with appropriate boxes ticked to generate texture coordinates - this works beautifully as I only need to attach real-word textures (no worries about UVW) and when the model needs reloading = no problems
...Then I installed the 2012 releases: (same problem with 2011)
No texture coordinates are generated when file linking the dwg file..this means manually assigning a UVW Map modifier when applying textures - problem comes in when reloading the file - from previous experience the geometry gets scattered and scaled all over because of that UVW Map modifier thats applied to the objects!
Oh..small sidenote..backburner 2012 doesn't pick up Max 2010 jobs - perfect..
