If you still have this issue, you can email the scene to our support guys at vray@chaosgroup.com - they will be able to help you out.

      Best regards,

Sorry for delay - not been around here for a while. The cutoff value did clear up my problem. I haven't had it since, but as someone I think has said, changeing the value will just move the problem somewhere else. Hopefully distant or out of shot.

Yeah - that's basically what I ended up doing.

If I can strip it down and still get the error I'll send it along. Thanks for the offer.

Problem with the gamma where? in Max's settings or vray's? What should I try changing?

Reset all gamma settings to 1... See if that helps...

FYI to anyone who's still having any problems. I was able to fix my reflection problem by changing the cutoff value to .001 but I had to change it for the glass material that the sky was visible reflected in. My problem was on a floor that was reflecting a vray skylight and no matter how small I made the reflection cutoff for the floor, I always got a harsh line in the reflection of the bright windows. When I changed the cutoff on the glass to .001 (or to 0) the line went away and I got a nice blurry reflection as expected. Just something to keep in mind.

Wonderful, have been experiencing this problem for ages and thought I'd tried everything until I saw this.
