Hello,
I am having a very hard time figuring this out. In the attached 2012 3ds max scene, I have it setup for a product style rendering against a white background. In the final image I want the white background, but in the alpha channel I want the shadows included, as is shown in the attached image. Everything so far is good. The problem is that the glass that is above the horizon line of the floor plane always displays black instead of the environment background, and the mirror always displays grey above the horizon line instead of white. Now I have tried changing a few settings and can correct this, but then the background changes or the alpha channel is no longer as I need it. In mental ray this type of render setup is really easy, but in vray it does seem as straight forward. Can anyone tell me what's missing?
thx
