  • noise with IrrMap + LC

    hi,

I had to render some fast interior visuals with 85% of the area indirectly illuminated.
whatever I try I can`t get rid of noise and the total lack of contrast.

please find attached an image of the used settings and an example crop of the image.
cpould you guys please help me with some hints how to optimize the scene?

    thx

Try changing the interpolation samples up to around 30, or more. You'll lose some details in the GI but it'll be a lot smoother.

      hi Macker,

thx for your reply. unfortunately increasing the interpolations samples did not improve the result.

whats your render size your rendering to?
just sample size alone wont do the trick

          hi Pixelbox_SRO,

          the image size is 3200 x 2000.

i decided to change from IrrMap + LC to IrrMap + BF (24 sd) and I´m quite happy with the result. of course the render time increased dramatically, but all in all it is a satisfying compromise between time and quality.

          cheers
