  • Vray Refraction pass has reflection pass in it too - issue

    Heya

    I got little problem.

I'm using plane + shell + vray mtl with doubleside to get my glass going. But everytime I render refraction I get reflection pass included from interior of glass - secound bounce I believe.

Will this be fixed - or option added to disable it so I can have a pure refraction without reflection pass in it?

    Thanks, bye.

Unfortunately what you ask is difficult to implement; you will have to find some other way around it for the time being - f.e. disabling the back-side reflections for the material or limiting the reflection depth.

    Best regards,

All I had to change was a Refraction Channel from "All" to Collor+Alpha or just collor if I'm not wrong, and it render fine. Now the disadvantage of that is that I wont get light select passes/ID for those objects - which I find very helpful...

Do u think there would be a way to tick a button in Light Select pass to convert listed materials to channel : All, so I can get details inside my interiors and so on but not in reflections?

      Thanks, bye.
