  • Vray sky white and glass problem

I'm having a problem with my Vray sky being only white.
I'm using Vray sun and Vray phyical camera
    I have a Quadro 4000 graphic card

Also I can't seem to get tranpanent glass. Even if I download the glass from The Vray material de site. It only seems to reflect.
I have carefully followed all the tuts etc.
    I'm new at using vray.
I am using version Vary2 The last update before the 2013 one
    Also 3dsmax 2012 design

Can anyone suggest what is wrong?

For the white sky problem, are you using a Vray Physical camera? The sun and sky by default are very powerful to match the real world, you'll need a Vray Physical Camera with appropriate settings to expose it correctly. Also double check that the Vray Sky map is in your environment slot.

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunny_16_rule

On a sunny day and with ISO 100 film / setting in the camera, one sets the aperture to f/16 and the shutter speed to 1/100 or 1/125 second (on some cameras 1/125 second is the available setting nearest to 1/100 second).
On a sunny day with ISO 200 film / setting and aperture at f/16, set shutter speed to 1/200 or 1/250.
On a sunny day with ISO 400 film / setting and aperture at f/16, set shutter speed to 1/400 or 1/500.
