V-Ray license Server Service

Recently my render machines are not able to obtain a license using the vray license server service. I think the only change has been the 2.3 update.
Launching the license server through the shortcut seems to work however. What could cause this?

Did you actually register the V-Ray license server to run as a service?

Sorry, I don't know what happened. I just tried it again and it seem to be working ok.

I also have this problem. Every time when i click the shortcut to launch the Vray it seems like always pop a box said there is an error or something not found. I have to try to launch the Vray a several time. What caused this?

Today launch the Vray but no any error message pop up. Weird. Sometimes have sometimes don't. Next time will screen capture the error message for you if happen again. But i hope this won't happen anymore.

Vlado,

1. Launch the Vray license.
2. WK1118 error message pop up.
3. After closed it, vrlservice.exe:Start error pop up.
4. Try to launch the lincense again.
5. Success.

If lucky, only try one time. If not, got to try a several times. May i know what caused this problem?

Go to Start menu- Chaos Group- Licensing- Administration- Remove V-Ray license service
Then register the license service again and go to Control Panel- Services, right click and start the license service.
Let us know if the error appears again.
