  • VRayEnvironmentFog to only show where lights are?

    Hi all

    OK so I need the VRayEnvironmentFog to just be VRayFog if that is possible? In other words I only want fog in the beam of my light. Kinda like Volumetric lights work in max with scanline and standard lights.

    Is this at all possible?

      You can use a cylindrical or conical gizmo to limit the volume effect just within the light cone.

        for now I'm using it as is because my situation is a bit more complicated. I have a rectangular light shining through a complex "slot".
        Using more or less defaults with the distance tweaked a bit, is actually working not too bad...

        Maybe I would use your cylindrical suggestion to make aircraft search lights
