    Hello Brett,
    Are you hitting the dynamic memory limit?
    With multiscatter there is an option for "penetration" and increasing that value helps remove the interestions between the scattered objects which in turn speeds up the LC calcs.
    The other possibility for your slow down is the AA. What is your AA set to?

      I don't think it's memory - i set that to 8GB. Everything was humming along fine until the actual buckets start chugging away, then it really slows down. I think you are right that it's the AA struggling with all those details. I switched to using Autograss to try that out and between that and knocking the DMC settings down it's manageable now. AA is 2/20 again, no GI, and the DMC threshold is at .04 (which is quite high for me) and minimum samples is 8. It's a bit grainy, but bearable
