I am using 3dsMax 2010 64Bit and the latest VRay release. I also tested this with the last nightly release which did not change the results.
I am rendering only the reflections of a character in the background objects.
For this I activate in the VRay properties for the background objects the following settings:
Matte object - active
Matte for refl/refr - active
Alpha contribution - "1"
Now the renderesult is a black background object with only the reflections of my character.
This works like a charm with a normal single VRay Material.
As soon as I place the same VRay Material in a Multi/Sub-Object Material, I don't get this reflections and my background object ist pure black.
Adding an VrayMtlWrapper above this Multi/Sub-Object did not fix this issue.
I hope this is just a minor bug, because I could really need this feature working with Muli/Sub-Materials.
Thanks for your time,
Alex
