  • Vray 3 beta - Could not obtain license (-200)

    As the title says,
I installed on a pc that do not have the dongle attached, so i use the ip addres (worked on 2.4 without problems) to access the license.
    what i did
    -run as administrator
    -install as workstation
-check that i can see the license via web ("ipnumber":30304)

    Any ideas?

I had the same problem. Did you register and start the vray license server if using it as a service ?

Vray 3.0 has updated License Server - please make sure that the new License Server is configured and launched.
Older license servers from 2.x version won't work with Vray 3.0.

Let us know if it the issue still persists even if with the new License Server.

When you open the license server web page, do you see the 3.0 licenses?

              Best regards,
              Vlado

Hi Vlado, yes (not with the vray 3.0 name), it says 1interface license and 9 render license.

Then you need to update the license server itself too.

                      Best regards,

I had to update the WiBu drivers. Once I did that, everything was good.

                          - remove dongle
                          - uninstall WiBu drivers
                          - download latest drivers from their website
                          - installed drivers and reboot
                          - plug in dongle and make sure it finds it okay
                          - start vrlservice and all was good
