  • PNG transparency problem during animation.

    Hi,
I've had an odd png transparency issue during an animated sequence...

The signage on the left wall of this image is a png, and at this angle it works fine:

However, once you move away from it, the transparency turns black as in this image:

Also, the lightbulbs haven't rendered correctly, while they render fine in still renders.

Could these issues have something to do with the secondary ray bias? I'd set it to 0.01 to try and fix a geometry issue.

    Cheers,
    Nat.

You've posted the link to the same image twice, so it's a bit hard to say what's going on.

    Best regards,

It would be odd if the secondary rays bias is responsible for that... Have you also tried disabling the filtering on the map?

          Thanks for the reply.
Filtering was disabled. I played around with other material settings with no change.
I've just rendered with secondary bias set to 0 and it's fixed the problem. Luckily it doesn't seem to need the irradiance multiframe file recalculating.

          Cheers.
          Nat.
