  • LC trouble with old scene rendered with VRay 3

    Hi,

I installed VRay 3 and tried to render a VRay 2.x scene. But the LC creates strange looking black dots:

I tried to use Brute-Force instead which works fine.
If I activate "Probabilistic lights" the LC problem is gone as well. So there might be an issue with light in my scene?

Can you get me a part of the scene that causes the problem to vlado@chaosgroup.com? I noticed a similar issue with one scene recently, but I want to double-check so that we can fix this ASAP.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Ok, it looks like there are some VRay lights in this scene which really do not "like" an hedge object. If I hide the lights OR the hedge, everything renders fine. Otherwise LC calculation lasts for hours. The black dots might have something to do with this thing.
I will send you the file Vlado.

The particular issue in that scene was fixed a long time ago. If you still have something like this, then the cause is probably different and it would be best to get us a scene to support@chaosgroup.com

              Best regards,
              Vlado
