Hello after 2 hours of rendering in progressive mode in BF+BF, there is no noise but some sploches like with LC+ IR method!
Should I increase the light subdivision and material subdivision to get rid of itClick image for larger version

    thanks
Edit: Increasing BF/Light/Material and texture to 200 subdivision didn't solved the problem.

Hmm - that doesn't look anything like light issues - have you got duplicate faces?

I do have a geometry behind the front panel (the black groove) but It is not coplanar, it is 3 mm behind.

Looks very strange... which pass is causing issues? raw light/raw refl/diffuse ? can you show other passes?

Are all the materials in the scene vray materials?

Hard to say what is going on... would be best if you can get us that part of the scene to vray@chaosgroup.com to see what's going on. It's very strange though - are you sure this is bf+bf?

            Best regards,
            Vlado

Thanks Vlado, thanks to all vray users.
Sounds like I need to take a week off.
It was set to BF/LC, completely non sense!

I really wish to have, one day, a single click render button

Well, hopefully in a few years the hardware will be powerful enough to always go with brute force on everything

                Best regards,

I solve this problem but now I got another one.
Why do I have a prepass when using either LC/BF or BF/BF?
Usually the progressive mode doesn't need a prepass.

you will get prepass for, LC, Irradiance Map, Interpolation reflection, interpolation refraction, SSS shader that is NOT Raytraced.

Check the V-Ray messages window for any interpolation maps - it will say which material generates them.

                      Best regards,

Thanks, one of the material was using interpolation.
